FOH Productions

Blending Backstage Subtlety with Bold, Tech-Forward Energy.

The Challenge

FOH Productions was a new venture formed by an experienced team of event professionals. Despite their decades of collective expertise, the company lacked a formal brand identity to establish credibility and trust within the Champaign market. The team sought a visual identity that would give the company presence, professionalism, and room to grow.

The Research

To ground the brand in authenticity, research focused heavily on backstage photography, event documentation, and the visual language of stage management. Inspiration was also drawn from larger production companies like LiveNation to understand how top-tier service providers balance technicality with personality in their branding.

Brand Establishment

The brand centers around the concept of “presence behind the scenes.” The logomark is a geometric interpretation of a stage from the audience’s point of view, visually nodding to the “front of house” concept.

A neon green on black color scheme emerged from the insight that stage crews often operate in darkness, wearing black to remain unseen while enabling the event to shine. The green acts as a digital, tech-forward pop—creating contrast, energy, and modernity.

Design assets included a logomark, type system, and applied brand examples across wearable and functional items:

  • T-shirt
  • Beanie
  • Staff ID badge

Implementation & Outcomes

A detailed brand guide was delivered at handoff, containing logo variations, clearspace rules, type guidance, and color specs for print and digital. Background adaptations and best-use examples were included to support brand flexibility across platforms.

Client Response

The client was thrilled with the results and made only minor edits from the initial concept round. All assets and documentation have been transferred, and FOH Productions is continuing to evolve the brand as they prepare for future opportunities. The identity has given the team a polished, professional foundation to build from as they grow their presence.
